Shukl'acharya - I was strongly influenced by his proximity to the Himalayan Masters from a young age, spending time in my adolescent years with Haidakhan Babaji where I was initiated to spiritual practices.
i ascribe all my teaching, achievements, accomplishments to the blessings of Babaji.
Shukl'acharya has also taken formal training in hatha yoga, during 84'-85' from Yogacharya Jayashankaran at Vemana Yoga Sanstha, Secunderabad in South India.
Shukl'acharya's continued association with the masters of Uttarakhand Himalayas, helped him unravel the deeper meaning of yoga and its relevance in contemporary life.
Thus the work of Satvik Sadan is an integration of India's spiritual and cultural richness to contemporary times, for the beneifit of the present generation.

Samrita
Samrita, Shukl'acharya's wife, too is carrying out spiritual and yogasana practices since a young age, she learnt various aspects of yoga from Shukl'acharya and has long been a practitioner . Her contribution to tSatvik Sadanis invaluable.
Like Shukl'acharya, Samrita too was interested in practical Vedanta. She regularly attended Bal Vihar classes conducted by Chinmaya Mission from 74'-78' and in 1980 she herself conducted Bal Vihar classes for Chinmaya Mission in Hyderabad .
Samrita has expertise in the art of Vedic cooking, which is an essentila aspect of Satvik principle. She specializes in determining the prakruti and ritu -based diet appropriate for an individual. ( Prakruti - in Aurveda refers to the ratio in which the five elements; viz: air, space, fire, water and earth, have come to exist in the individual. Ritu refers to the season; viz: spring, summer, autumn, rains and winter.
She set up the kitchen for Manipur Restaurant at Satvik Sadan , Bhimtal and trained the staff in Satvik food preparation.
Professionally Shukl'acharya took up designing and contracting interior turnkey assignments, ably assisted by his wife Samrita, many a corporate figuring in their list of clientele. Their vast and varied experience in this field of over a decade, made them take up the highly challenging and daunting task of setting up Satvik Sadan at Bhimtal, in an inhospitable terrain.
Yet as Shukl'acharya says-" that on looking back, it was hidden support, grace and guidance of Babaji which made such an extraordinary construction possible. Many people thought of us to be structural engineers!, while some eminent engineers and architects recommended this style of construction for the mountains.!"
Together these two have not only done the architectural and interiors of the retreat, but made the retreat functional by personally training the local people to efficiently carry out the day to day chores.
Presently they are involved in the promotion of satvik oriented lifestyle for greater human happiness, health and harmony.
