From Guru Poornima July 25th 2010' Satvik Sadan,, is offering to devotees of Baba Haidakhan a special plan on donation based ashram living.

Before we go into the plan, a few lines as to why we are doing this.

The founders of Satvik Sadan, the Shukla family has been devoted to Babaji since the late seventies, when they were blessed by the Darshan of Babaji as also a very special and rare visit by Babaji to the Shuklas' Delhi residence in March 1981' alongwith Shri Shastriji, Shri Naveen C Joshi and Shri Alok Banerjee.

With blessings of Babaji, Shukl Pulak Ranjan was inspired to come to Bhimtal in 1997 and set up Satvik Sadan, a Vedic lifestyle centre as well as a yoga, meditation and ayurveda retreat.

Shri Maha Muniraj Maharaj (Trilok Singh) himself came to inaugurate the retreat on 3rd November 2003'

Many Indians and foreigners have stayed at Satvik Sadan and have benefited from the vibrations as well as teachings and therapies here. In fact Shukl Pulak Ranjan, known as Shukl'acharya in the yoga fraternity has trained many senior yoga teachers from around the globe here.

Shukl Pulak Ranjan's father Shri Murli Shukla has been providing his management expertise to Haidakhan Samaaj since many years and form July 2010 is the Chief Advisor to Haidakhan Samaaj, having been asked to oversee the administration of Babaji's ashrams and hospitals as well as future plans by Shri Maha Muniraj Maharaj.

Located as if by design, right in the centre of Babaji's principal ashrams, (details beneath), many have felt Babaji's vibrations here at Satvik Sadan.

When Shri Mahamuniraj Maharaj first came to the plot in 1998' on which Satvik Sadan is built, he jokingly remarked that ' Pulak liked Mount Kailash so much that he has created another mount Kailash here! This made the Shuklas' call the plot ' Shree Kailash Mukhi' - one which faces mount Kailash, as also which resembles mount Kailash.

When an elderly English devotee, who has been doing a yeoman's service in looking after Haidakhan ashram's work since many years, stopped by here in 1999' en route from Haidakhan to Chilia Naula for the autumn Navratra, her first statement was that this is Haidakhan!

Similarly many Indian devotees too felt this. An Indian lady, a senior editor with many top national and international publications, was greatly moved with the vibrations. Her father and grandfather had been close devotees of Babaji as well. In the temple area of Satvik Sadan, Sunita felt as if transported in Babaji's physical durbar ( audience)

An old German devotee who has been in the service of Babaji, since over three decades, remarked while visiting Satvik Sadan, on her way back from Muniraj's residence in Haldwani, where she had gone to greet him on his birthday,on July 17th 2010' ' I feel the same energy here as in Babaji physical presence'.

This made us decide that we must serve Babaji's devotees by allowing them the experience of ashram living at Satvik Sadan, as well as provide them the guidance we are capable of.

Location details of Satvik Sadan are available elsewhere in this web site, but of special interest to Babaji's devotees, is that while Haidakhan village is to the south of Haidakhand Kailash, Satvik Sadan is to its west.

Haidakhan Baba devotees plan

Under this plan any devotee of Haidakhan Baba can stay at Satvik Sadan and experience ashram living on donation basis Of course the devotees are welcome to stay on any other plan on offer as well. Please see side bar links to the regular plans.

Only a token payment of Rs.900/- (app USD $ twenty) per room per day has to be paid towards administrative expenses. In a room upto two adults can stay.(This is not tariff. The normal tariff at Satvik Sadan ranges from Rs.4,500/- to Rs.9,000/- )

This token payment would include the stay, lunch and dinner, as well as yogic and other spiritual guidance Babaji has made us capable of.

However as normal, the following conditions have to be kept in mind :

1. Up to two adults per room only. A person can choose to stay alone as well.

2. Besides the ashram rules at Haidakhan, the rules of Satvik Sadan, as stated in this web site need to be read and understood as applicable.

3. As per ashram living norms, the devotee is expected to observe discipline as the below mentioned ashram living rules stipulate.

4. Kindly call or email to confirm reservation.

5. The duration of the devotee to stay would be at the discretion of Satvik Sadan's management.

Ashram living rules:

1. Wake up before sunrise

2. Have bath and be ready for meditation, chandan hawan, arti and keertan at the stipulated time

3. After personal spiritual practices, like yogasana, pranayama be ready for karma yoga from. 9.a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Karma yoga activities would entail activities like kitchen, premises cleanliness, gardening etc. depending on the fitness levels of the devotees.

6. lunch and rest 12.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

7. karma yoga from 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

8. arti and keertan from 6.p.m. to 7.pm.

9. Dinner at 7.30 p.m.

10 8.30 p.m. silence and rest.
